Trade of wood products:

SEFAG Forestry and Wood Industrial Ltd Company (SEFAG Erdészeti és Faipari Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság) as one of the biggest forest management companies plays important role in trade of forest products. There are 82,000 ha forest owned by the state under the 
company's management. This area has FSC forest certificate. Selection of the processed forest products being sold by us raises the reputation of our country. Selling of the forest products produced and purchased by the Hungarian standards is managed and completed by the trade department in very close cooperation with nine forestry units.
Regarding the sale to foreign countries we sell log products mainly in accordance with Austrian wood trade specifications. Our basic strategy is the multi-channelled selling to partners having reliable financial background and business relations. In case of purchasing standing forest and forest wood products also the loyalty to the company and reliability are considered the most determinant factors that are repaid by quick and correct payment of the invoices.  
There are log and piled selections of nearly all important broadleaved and coniferous wood types occurring in the Hungarian forests available in our offer. The most important wood varieties and the selections produced and sold by us are as follows: 
Oat (English and common): log for panel-industry, stave-log, saw-log, long wood products and firewood 
Beech: log for panel-industry, saw-log, long wood products, pulpwood, wood-fibre timber and firewood
Turkey oak: saw-log, wood-fibre timber and firewood 
Black (common) alder: log for panel-industry, saw-log, raw material of pallet and wood-fibre timber
Linden (mainly silver linden): saw-log, wood products, pulpwood and wood-fibre timber 
Locust saw-log, wood products, wood posts and firewood 
Hornbeam: saw-log and firewood 
Ash: log for panel-industry, saw-log, wood products and firewood
Poplars: saw-log, raw material of pallet and wood-fibre timber 
Willow: raw material of pallet and wood-fibre timber 
Other broad-leaved trees (maple, walnut, chestnut, wild fruit trees) saw-log
Scotch fir, black pine, spruce, larch-tree: saw-log, raw material of pallet, pulpwood and wood-fibre timber. 

In our trade activity sale of raw materials used for energy source has a determinant role due to its volume.

When we purchase we prefer firewood of the hard board-leaved trees; logs of oat, locust, linden, alder and wild fruit trees as well as - for panel industry - logs of oat, beech and common alder. 

Minimum limit of our purchase is 20 m3 in case of both log and piled selections.
We purchase wood materials from registered forest traders and by a permitted felling plan only; we purchase wood materials from traders only when they present the sale agreement for the item in question. 
In case of standing forests we are interested in forests having cutting permit valid in the actual year.

We sell firewood to the local inhabitants in accordance with List of prices issued by the forestry units.
