Forest certification
SEFAG Forestry and Timber Industry Joint Stock Company (SEFAG Erdészeti és Faipari Zrt.) is responsible for managing the state forests in Somogy County and carries out long-term forest management activity under supervision of State Forestry Service (Állami Erdészeti Szolgálat). As the result of it the main product of the managing activity is the forest.
Experts of our company consciously make efforts to complete long-term forest management. We work so that - in addition to meeting our direct requirements - we can preserve the forests and wild animals for the progeny and the forests can be used for many purposes.
To prove our efforts in 2002 our company was audited according to FSC forest certifying system an internationally respected certifying system.
Forestry management companies having FSC certificate have to satisfy the world widely specified and accepted management terms and conditions. Meeting the before-mentioned conditions is the proof of it that the company performs its managing activity in accordance with principles of the long-term management, conformity with nature and legality; by guidelines of plans based on professional knowledge and in such way that biodiversity can be maintained.
By this, we have obtained the right to sell our wood products as FSC-certified goods.
